Job summary

Dubai Municipality seeks an experienced Senior Civil/Mechanical Engineer to lead major department projects and ensure delivery that meets international standards.

You will review specifications, supervise all project phases, coordinate with RTA and developers, and ensure on-time completion within contracted terms. This role demands 15+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential.

• Ensure completion in line with approved plans, schedules and contracts.
• Expedite project completion where required.
• Monitor the progress of RTA and developers' projects.
• Approve variation orders for additional works per regulations.

Job description

• Conduct specialized studies and research required to enhance the performance of the department’s projects and work on implementing their outcomes in line with international best practices.
• Review and audit specifications and standards related to the execution of the department’s projects, and provide recommendations aimed at their development in accordance with emerging changes and developments.
• Supervise all phases of project implementation and ensure completion in accordance with approved plans and designs, while taking appropriate measures to expedite project completion in line with contractual obligations and approved work schedules.
• Monitor the progress stages and completion percentages of projects undertaken by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and developers’ projects supervised by the department’s team.
• Approve variation orders for additional works required during project execution, in accordance with the approved regulations and delegated authorities.
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree

• Experience: 15 years or above
