Job summary

Dubai Municipality seeks a senior engineer to lead major civil/ME projects in Abu Dhabi. You will supervise all project phases, ensure alignment with approved designs, and expedite completion within contractual plans.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and 15+ years of experience, you will review specifications, audit standards, and approve variations for works overseen with RTA and developers' teams.

• Conduct specialized studies and research required to enhance the performance of the department’s projects and work on implementing their outcomes in line with international best practices.


• Review and audit specifications and standards related to the execution of the department’s projects, and provide recommendations aimed at their development in accordance with emerging changes and developments.


• Supervise all phases of project implementation and ensure completion in accordance with approved plans and designs, while taking appropriate measures to expedite project completion in line with contractual obligations and approved work schedules.


• Monitor the progress stages and completion percentages of projects undertaken by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and developers’ projects supervised by the department’s team.


• Approve variation orders for additional works required during project execution, in accordance with the approved regulations and delegated authorities.


• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree


• Major: Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering


• Experience: 15 years or above
