Job Description

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal I & C Engineer with a proven track record in understanding the complexities involved in large-scale Gas Processing projects to meet objectives for a high-profile client.

Responsibilities

1. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with at least 10+ years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including a minimum of 5 years (preferred) in the GCC region.
2. Possess at least 10 years of experience in a similar position within mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
3. Experience in Instrumentation Designing.
4. Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
5. Experience working in a multi-project/multi-discipline environment through all engineering and design phases.
6. Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous.
7. Undertake process design work, supervise, and check work of assigned engineers.
8. Execute process engineering activities within budget and schedule, ensuring technical integrity.
9. Ensure compliance with client standards and data in detailed design methods.
10. Check or approve basis of design, process calculations, safety-related calculations to develop robust designs.
11. Review and approve I & C Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFs, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, and other related documents.
12. Review and approve dynamic and transient studies, surge studies, MDMT studies, etc.
13. Review and approve flare system design, safety calculations, and contribute to safety reviews like HAZOP and SIL.
14. Ensure safety, environmental, and quality assurance procedures are followed.
15. Identify new work methodologies for increased productivity.
16. Review supplier quotations and project reviews.
17. Ensure compliance with Licensor's Secrecy Agreements.
18. Participate in technical meetings and discussions with client engineers.
19. Identify issues affecting project progress and report to management.
20. Mentor and train junior engineers.
21. Assist in planning, scheduling, weekly reporting, and preparation of manuals and procedures.
22. Assist in Manhours estimation and proposal scheduling.
