Job Description
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal I & C Engineer with a proven track record in understanding the complexities involved in large-scale Gas Processing projects to meet objectives for a high-profile client.
Responsibilities
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with at least 10+ years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including a minimum of 5 years (preferred) in the GCC region.
- Possess at least 10 years of experience in a similar position within mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- Experience in Instrumentation Designing.
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
- Experience working in a multi-project/multi-discipline environment through all engineering and design phases.
- Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous.
- Undertake process design work, supervise, and check work of assigned engineers.
- Execute process engineering activities within budget and schedule, ensuring technical integrity.
- Ensure compliance with client standards and data in detailed design methods.
- Check or approve basis of design, process calculations, safety-related calculations to develop robust designs.
- Review and approve I & C Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFs, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, and other related documents.
- Review and approve dynamic and transient studies, surge studies, MDMT studies, etc.
- Review and approve flare system design, safety calculations, and contribute to safety reviews like HAZOP and SIL.
- Ensure safety, environmental, and quality assurance procedures are followed.
- Identify new work methodologies for increased productivity.
- Review supplier quotations and project reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Licensor's Secrecy Agreements.
- Participate in technical meetings and discussions with client engineers.
- Identify issues affecting project progress and report to management.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, weekly reporting, and preparation of manuals and procedures.
- Assist in Manhours estimation and proposal scheduling.
