Job summary

NMDC Dredging & Marine in Abu Dhabi invites a senior engineer with extensive experience in physical modelling hydraulic laboratories to lead project delivery. You will manage proposals, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and ensure data‑driven conclusions are supported by robust testing programs.

You will headline client interfaces, supervise engineers, enforce HSE standards, and represent NMDC at industry conferences, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the testing lab

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 years of engineering and design experience in related industries.
• At least 5 years in a Physical Modelling Hydraulic Laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial proposals, defining scope, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Serve as the primary client interface, ensuring clear communication, swift issue resolution, and protection of client interests.
• Coordinate with technical and operations teams to schedule and configure equipment for 2D and 3D model tests.
• Oversee test execution, track progress against milestones and budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Review and approve instrumentation layouts, data acquisition protocols, and analysis methodologies.
• Analyze test data to identify anomalies, verify integrity, and confirm reproducibility.
• Authorize draft and final project reports, certifying that conclusions are fully supported by the data.
• Enforce health, safety, and quality assurance procedures across all testing activities.
• Line-manage and mentor senior and graduate engineers, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Represent NMDC at conferences and workshops, presenting findings and sharing best practices.
