Job Title: Principal Engineer Instrumentation

Location: UAE, Abu Dhabi

Project: Various Saipem Projects

Job Mission:

• Manage design, checking, layout definition, installation drawings, and material definition of process measuring sensors, process actuators, installation elements, and process safety elements.
• Lead and coordinate with other Project Team Specialists and Designers.
• Lead technical activities performed either by insourcing or outsourcing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review client technical documentation and requirements.
• Coordinate subcontracted engineering activities and control subcontracted engineering documents.
• Define engineering design basis and guidelines.
• Prepare technical documentation for instrumentation elements, material, and services requisitions, and conduct technical evaluations as per internal procedures.
• Provide technical support to the Project Team.
• Optimize instrumentation design to ensure minimal cost and complexity, complying with contractual and safety requirements.
• Prepare instrumentation technical specifications, data sheets, installation specifications, drawings, BOQs, and MTOs.
• Validate vendor control valves and safety valves sizing calculations.
• Coordinate engineering activities and ensure instrumentation 3D modeling design activities.
• Participate in F.A.T. activities and vendor workshops.
