Title :

Principal Electrical Engineer - Offshore

Overall Summary

Lead Electrical Engineer with proven extensive experience in the offshore design of substations, transmission, and distribution systems in the oil & gas, hydrocarbon, and infrastructure industries. Demonstrated leadership of a large team of electrical engineers and designers, with experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of medium to large-scale projects. Minimum 15 years of experience is required.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Lead a team of 10 to 20 electrical engineers and designers
• Develop discipline work plans
• Perform or review electrical systems studies (e.g., ETAP)
• Prepare work-hour estimates
• Develop electrical equipment sizes and specifications
• Perform or review power systems analyses
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team, including clients
• Ensure design integrity of electrical scope, oversee performance of staff, and ensure on-schedule, within-budget delivery
• Lead technical presentations to clients and their representatives as required

Qualifications & Years of Experience :

Minimum bachelor of science in electrical engineering, with at least 15 years' experience in the oil & gas industry, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, or offshore industries.

• Expert knowledge and understanding of design practices, construction practices, and procedures
• Wide knowledge of codes and industry standards such as IEEE, NFPA, API, IEC, ANSI / NEMA
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical power systems, protection philosophy, and device coordination
• Knowledge of Saudi standards and procedures is an advantage
