Key Responsibilities
- Organise classroom resources and displays to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the needs of students across all ability levels
- Observe, assess, and monitor student progress using school assessment systems
- Reflect on teaching practice and adjust planning and curriculum delivery to improve outcomes
- Embed the school's Teacher and Learner DNA values throughout daily teaching and learning
- Take full responsibility for the academic progress and development of a class
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote independence and self‑control among students
- Act as a positive role model by demonstrating professional values and expected behaviour
- Support curriculum action groups, school events, outings, and extracurricular activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well‑being using school systems such as CPOMS
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of teaching experience within a school environment
- Previous experience working with students where English is not their first language is preferred
- Active involvement in extracurricular activities and wider school life
- Strong commitment to safeguarding, student well‑being, and inclusive education
- Positive, solution‑focused attitude with excellent teamwork skills
- Respectful and professional approach toward all members of the school community
- Valid enhanced DBS check or police clearance required
