Overview

Primary Teacher in Abu Dhabi, UAE is a rewarding education opportunity for a qualified educator who can deliver effective American Curriculum lessons, use assessment data to improve planning, and support strong student outcomes. This role is suited to a teacher who can create an engaging classroom environment, communicate well with parents, and contribute to a progressive school community focused on whole‑child development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve strong academic progress.
  • Plan and present classroom sessions that meet curriculum expectations and support the full range of student abilities.
  • Use assessment data to guide lesson planning, differentiated groupings, intervention, and classroom support.
  • Create a positive learning environment through organized resources, classroom displays, and engaging activities.
  • Work actively with planning teams to strengthen curriculum delivery and improve learning outcomes.
  • Observe, assess, record, and track student progress in line with school assessment procedures.
  • Provide clear feedback to parents and carers during Parent Teacher Conferences and other school meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively while promoting self‑control, independence, respect, and positive learning habits.
  • Support pupils through enthusiastic, imaginative, and inclusive teaching methods.
  • Liaise with speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and support professionals when required.
  • Take part in curriculum action groups, planning activities, assessment work, resources development, and special events.
  • Support school events, outings, activities, and wider professional responsibilities when needed.
  • Communicate student achievements, wellbeing updates, and attendance concerns through school systems and procedures.
  • Uphold professional, culturally appropriate conduct and demonstrate respect for the values of the UAE school community.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 1‑2 years of teaching experience.
  • Previous experience working with students whose first language is not English is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum planning, classroom teaching, assessment tracking, and data‑informed instruction.
  • Ability to teach mixed‑ability learners using creative, structured, and differentiated classroom methods.
  • Passion for teaching, student wellbeing, and whole‑child development.
  • Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, teachers, school leaders, and support teams.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities is preferred.
  • Positive and solution‑focused approach to teamwork, school life, and professional responsibilities.
  • Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance as required.
