Dubbed 'The Garden City', Al Ain - which means "the spring" - is neatly filled with oases, gardens, amusement parks, exotic animals, museums and more, and is situated in the far east of the UAE. Close to the border with Oman, the city falls into the emirate of Abu Dhabi. There are traces of human history dating back over 4,000 years here, remarkable tombs and examples of early irrigation that can't be found anywhere else in the UAE. Modern Al Ain is also a vibrant, forward-facing city with a commitment to recreation that rivals its dedication to museums and culture, and this tranquil location hosts an abundance of attractions beyond its pretty flowers!
