Job description

Reach British School opened in 2014. We are part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), which has 82 schools around the world. We offer the National Curriculum for England to ages 3 to 18. We are a school that continues to grow with over 1862 students from over 70 nationalities.

As a school of choice, our amazing teachers facilitate the learning of the students in their care, developing confident risk-takers and planning carefully to ensure all students make good progress through inquiry and innovative opportunities. Our amazing facilities include computer suites, innovation rooms, science labs, an extensive multipurpose gym for PE, as well as our swimming pool.

The successful candidate will be skilled in ensuring well-planned lessons and providing effective, personalized feedback in line with key policies including, but not limited to, T&L, feedback, and displays; to ensure students are safe, engaged, and challenged to maximize progress and educational outcomes for all.

Some specific responsibilities will include:

  1. Contributing to the school community and our drivers of Safe, Respectful, and Ambitious.
  2. Planning for outstanding teaching and learning, in line with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
  3. Creating a positive and creative atmosphere for learning that is conducive to outstanding practice.
  4. Collaborating with peers on planning, ensuring opportunities for all students to achieve and make good progress.
  5. Making effective use of assessment and feedback that impacts individual student improvement and ultimately their achievement.
  6. Ensuring effective use of digital tools and technologies are employed in lessons to enhance learning opportunities and progress.
  7. Maintaining records and assessments of students that inform next steps that can be shared with parents in partnership with the school, impacting students' achievement.
  8. Maintaining a restorative approach when addressing behavior concerns in line with the school's Behaviour Policy.
  9. Keeping up-to-date with current practices through the provided school CPD schedule, ISP Learning Hub, and your own professional opportunities.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate in their application or at interview:

  1. 2 years full-time teaching experience either in the UK or in a British Curriculum school.
  2. Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and current assessment practices.
  3. Experience of using data systems, student tracking, intervention, Target Setting, Assessment, Recording & Reporting.
  4. A desire to be outstanding in teaching and learning.
  5. Prepared to establish strong partnerships with our parents, enabling our students to succeed.
  6. To collaborate and support whole school initiatives and the school improvement cycle.
