Job description

About the School

We are a highly respected established private school in Abu Dhabi operating under a leading premium educational group in the UAE. Founded to deliver exceptional high‑quality British education, our campus features purpose‑built state‑of‑the‑art educational facilities. Our student body is predominantly comprised of local Emirati students. The school is deeply rooted in the values, culture, and aspirations of the local community while remaining strictly aligned with UAE educational regulatory frameworks. We pride ourselves on providing a rigorous 21st‑century learning experience at an accessible price point, focusing on inclusion, personalised learning and a nurturing environment where every child feels a sense of belonging.

Role Purpose

We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified Female Primary Teachers specializing in either Key Stage1 Year1 or Key Stage2 Year6. The successful candidates will deliver inspiring lessons, drive academic excellence and demonstrate a profound respect for the cultural values of the region.

Core Responsibilities
  • Teaching, Learning and Classroom Management: Deliver high‑quality imaginative lessons that motivate and challenge pupils across the full ability range to achieve their best outcomes. Organise classroom provisions, manage learning resources and create stimulating visual displays to foster a positive, engaging learning environment. Reflect continuously on classroom provisions, lesson outcomes and student progress to adapt planning and environments accordingly. Tailor teaching methods to support a high population of English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners. Incorporate institutional core learning values and student behavioural frameworks seamlessly into daily teaching.
  • Assessment, Data and Reporting: Take full responsibility for the academic progress, well‑being and development of your assigned class. Utilize school‑wide assessment tracking systems to record, monitor and evaluate student progress. Analyse assessment data to inform differentiated lesson planning, targeted provisions and timely interventions. Provide constructive, detailed feedback to parents and carers during Parent‑Teacher Consultations and via formal reporting channels.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively alongside grade‑level colleagues and curriculum support staff to plan engaging unified lessons. Liaise flexibly with external specialists (e.g. speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists) when required to support inclusive education. Build positive trust‑based relationships with parents to ensure student happiness and optimal academic success.
  • Behavioural Management: Consistently implement and uphold the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies. Manage classrooms effectively using positive reinforcement techniques tailored to individual student needs, promoting self‑control and student independence. Act as a positive role model demonstrating the high standards of attitude, respect and values expected of the students.
  • Wider Professional Contributions: Contribute actively to a designated curriculum action group supporting resource allocation, assessment design and special academic events. Plan, organise and participate in school events, field trips and community activities which may occasionally occur in the evenings or weekends. Utilize internal school safeguarding and communication software to log student well‑being and behavioural data securely. Design and run one weekly extra‑curricular activity (ECA) each term.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject (Education, Primary Education, or a subject‑specific degree) accompanied by a PGCE or an equivalent globally recognised teaching qualification.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of consistent teaching experience within a registered British curriculum school.
  • Specific, recent experience teaching Year1 or Year6 is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of working successfully with students for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL).
  • Demonstrated active involvement in leading extra‑curricular activities (ECAs).
  • Deep respect for the culture, heritage, and values of the UAE community, irrespective of position, gender, age or ethnic background.
  • A solution‑focused, positive attitude toward professional development and school life.
Security & Safeguarding

A clean, enhanced background check (e.g. Disclosure and Barring Service / DBS check, or local equivalent police clearance certificate).
