Job summary

Al Shirawi Group, through Arcadia Education, seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant for the Primary SEN Department in Dubai. You will support teachers with individualized and small-group instruction for students with special educational needs, assisting with lesson prep and adapting materials for varied learning abilities.

In this on-site role, you will monitor progress, maintain records, collaborate with the SEN team and families, and contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a school environment supporting students with SEN.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with primary-level SEN students (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted support strategies.
• Provide one-to-one or small-group interventions to support academic progress and wellbeing.
• Adapt learning materials to diverse learning needs.
• Promote independence and inclusive learning through positive reinforcement.
• Support students inside and outside the classroom during lessons and transitions.
• Observe, monitor, and record student progress and share feedback with teachers.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in training and collaborate with colleagues to enhance SEN practice.
