Requirements and Experience

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Music, Primary Education, or a related field
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Music across the Primary age range (FS1 Year 6)
• A minimum of 2 years' classroom teaching experience, though aspiring new teachers will be considered
• A commitment to delivering engaging, inclusive, and inspiring lessons
• Experience in leading musical performances, ensembles, or productions
• Confidence in teaching whole-class instrumental work (e.g., ukulele, percussion, or guitar)
• Excellent communication skills and a highly collaborative approach
• Strong commitment to wider school life, including extracurricular activities
• Recent professional development relevant to music education
• Sound understanding of using ICT to enhance teaching and learning
• Experience working in an international or British curriculum school
• Familiarity with music education frameworks such as Charanga
• Skills in a range of instruments or vocal coaching
