Job Overview
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Inclusion Teacher to champion inclusive education across our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). You will play a key role in ensuring that students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) are supported through targeted interventions, meaningful collaboration, and inclusive classroom practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with homeroom and specialist teachers to co-plan and co-teach inclusive lessons.
- Deliver direct support to students through in-class, small group, and individual sessions.
- Design, implement, and review Documented Learning Plans (IEPs, ALPs, Behaviour Plans).
- Use a coaching model to build teacher confidence in inclusive strategies.
- Track and monitor student progress using school data systems and milestone trackers.
- Lead meetings with families, teachers, and therapists to ensure coordinated support.
- Supervise and mentor Inclusion Assistants and Learning Support Assistants.
- Promote inclusive values and practices throughout the whole school community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, or Bachelor’s in Education with a recognised Special Educational Needs qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience in international, inclusive settings; IB PYP experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and specialists.
- Passion for supporting the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Commitment to inclusive education as a whole-school responsibility.
