Job summary

A leading international school in the UAE is seeking an Inclusion Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The role involves collaborating with teachers, designing learning plans, and promoting inclusive values throughout the school community. Candidates should have a degree in Special Education and experience in inclusive settings.

Qualifications

  • Experience in international, inclusive settings; IB PYP experience is an advantage.

Job description

  • Collaborate with homeroom and specialist teachers to co-plan and co-teach inclusive lessons.
  • Deliver direct support to students through in-class, small group, and individual sessions.
  • Design, implement, and review Documented Learning Plans (IEPs, ALPs, Behaviour Plans).
  • Use a coaching model to build teacher confidence in inclusive strategies.
  • Track and monitor student progress using school data systems and milestone trackers.
  • Lead meetings with families, teachers, and therapists to ensure coordinated support.
  • Supervise and mentor Inclusion Assistants and Learning Support Assistants.
  • Promote inclusive values and practices throughout the whole school community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Special Education, or Bachelor s in Education with a recognised Special Educational Needs qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Experience in international, inclusive settings; IB PYP experience is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and specialists.
  • Passion for supporting the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Commitment to inclusive education as a whole-school responsibility.
