Position: Primary Art and Design Technology Teacher

Job Start Date: August 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Art and Design Technology (DT) lessons aligned with the British curriculum

Teach students a range of art techniques including drawing painting sculpture and mixed media

Develop students design and practical skills through handson DT projects using a variety of materials

Introduce students to key artists designers and engineers fostering creativity and problemsolving skills

Encourage critical thinking innovation and craftsmanship in both art and DT projects

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support artistic and technical development

Ensure safe use of tools and materials in DT lessons while promoting creativity and independence

Collaborate with colleagues to develop crosscurricular links and interdisciplinary projects

Organise art exhibitions DT showcases and creative workshops to celebrate student achievements

Foster an inclusive and inspiring learning environment where all students feel encouraged to explore their creativity


Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Art Education Design Technology Fine Arts or a related field

PGCE with QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)

Minimum two years of teaching experience in Art and/or DT at the primary level

Experience teaching in a British curriculum school is preferred

Strong knowledge of artistic techniques design principles and handson DT projects

Passion for nurturing creativity innovation and problemsolving skills in young learners

Excellent classroom management organisation and communication skills

ADEK approval or eligibility is an advantage
