Roles and responsibilitiesThe ProAV Presales Engineer will be responsible for designing, integrating, and managing ProAV systems for different applications such as meeting rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, auditoriums, public address systems, video and audio conferencing, digital signage, public information systems, control systems, home automation, IPTV, and BGM systems. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of technical regulations and standards related to ProAV systems.
This pivotal role demands extensive experience and expertise in cost-benefit analysis of ProAV systems, appraisal of system investments, market studies, and regulatory and licensing issues, which will be an advantage.
The ProAV Presales Engineer must design solutions and integrate AV/BC systems in large-scale facilities such as hotels, museums, auditoriums, stadiums, malls, and mixed-development projects. Ensuring uncompromising standards of quality, products, and compliance is imperative. This role demands extensive experience and expertise in AV/BC systems, working with clients to understand their audio-visual, broadcasting, recording, digital signage, lighting system, and video conferencing needs and helping to choose the hardware, software, and control systems that fulfill them.
What you will do:
Design and Development:
- Develop detailed ProAV system designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate ProAV systems into project integration plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
Collaboration:
- Responsible for interfacing with the sales and operations team in developing the solution design and the project deliverables.
- Attend client meetings for technical clarifications and presentations.
- Coordinate with the project’s stakeholders, such as clients, architects, consultants from other disciplines, and contractors.
Business Excellence
- Prepare product and solution matrix to enhance our portfolio by introducing new products and solutions.
- Maintain relationships with AFT business partners, suppliers, and vendors.
- Identify certification gaps to maintain our partnership level with principles.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and relevant standards and codes to improve design practices.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

What Equips you for the role:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Graduate engineer in electronics, electrical, or equivalent.
- Technical certification. CTS and CTS-D certification is mandatory.
Minimum Experience:
- Must have 5+ years of experience designing and project management for ProAV systems.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to compile tender documents with complete commercial and contractual understanding.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Languages: English and Arabic.
- Communication: A highly motivated and strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Product knowledge for all major vendors: Extron, Crestron, BOSE, QSC, Barco, Crestie, BenQ, LG, Poly, JBL, Dahua, Samsung, Yealink, and other leading brands.
