Job summary

The Luxury Closet is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control candidate with experience in luxury leather goods. You will review and inspect bags, shoes, and accessories, ensuring quality, craftsmanship, and authenticity support. The role involves measurement, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should understand leather varieties, stitching, and finishing, and be proficient in MS Office for record-keeping and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with luxury leather goods, footwear, manufacturing, QC, or shoe cobbling preferable.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to inspect product quality and craftsmanship.
• Good understanding of leather types, stitching, construction, and finishing of bags/shoes.
• Basic knowledge of quality control processes and condition grading.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Review all incoming leather goods (bags, shoes, accessories) per QC guidelines to determine acceptable vs. unacceptable conditions.
• Inspect product quality including leather type, stitching, construction, hardware, and finishing with high attention to detail.
• Apply knowledge from luxury leather goods, manufacturing processes, or shoe cobbling to assess craftsmanship and product standards.
• Measure, clean, prepare, and accurately record detailed product specifications and condition reports.
• Assist Authenticators with authenticity checks and quality evaluation of luxury leather items.
• Support internal teams in addressing client queries related to product condition and grading standards.
• Maintain coordination with photography, content, and customer service.
• Assist in developing and maintaining condition grading guidelines and quality benchmarks for leather goods.
• Ensure proper handling, care, and storage of all products during inspection and processing.
