Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become a global wealth manager with USD1.4 trillion in assets. Role Purpose:
This is a client-facing role managing high-value clients. Professionalism, client focus, and broad financial planning knowledge are critical. The role involves acquiring, developing, and retaining relationships with Premier clients. Working with branch and direct teams to achieve business performance goals. Actively managing a portfolio of Premier clients and acquiring new HSBC clients. Upgrading existing clients by becoming their trusted financial advisor. Regularly reviewing portfolios to ensure suitability and client loyalty. Referring non-qualified business and attracting new clients through quality service. Identifying wealth review opportunities and delivering wealth solutions as an advisor. Maintaining operational integrity and managing individual/team performance to WPB goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Maximize profit and growth of Premier clients’ portfolios.
  2. Achieve KPI objectives by developing existing and new relationships.
  3. Build effective relationships with clients to retain and develop sustainable relationships.
  4. Conduct regular reviews to understand clients’ current and long-term needs and advise on suitable products and services.
  5. Use tools and information effectively to drive client service and WPB performance.
  6. Maintain a minimum standard of qualifying Premier clients within the portfolio as per Group standards.
  7. Build a high-profile presence in the community and develop a network of professional contacts to generate new business and promote the brand.
  8. Monitor and act on sales activity data and internal information to coach the team in support of business goals.
  9. Establish and implement client contact strategies aligned with Group operating models.
  10. Utilize and update Client Relationship Management data comprehensively.
  11. Own the client relationship with HSBC.
  12. Maintain deep knowledge of relevant products and services to provide optimal solutions and maximize revenues.
  13. Deliver excellent client service and regularly analyze portfolios for improvement opportunities.
  14. Work with branch teams to ensure achievement of performance measures through differentiated products and services.
  15. Contribute to the overall branch management to meet standards and operational models.
  16. Support colleagues proactively beyond specific role activities.
  17. Collaborate to achieve WPB performance goals and support the client journey across channels.
  18. Build and sustain strong relationships within the WPB team and other relevant units.
  19. Ensure sales and operations comply with HSBC policies and lending guidelines.
  20. Manage lending within approved authority levels.
  21. Identify and mitigate operational risks using relevant data.
  22. Follow sales processes and quality standards.
  23. Comply with local regulatory requirements, including mandatory examinations.
  24. Assist in identifying and reporting suspicious activities to ensure AML compliance.
  25. Maintain accurate KYC and sanctions due diligence for clients from sensitive regions.
  26. Respond to compliance alerts and investigate suspicious activities.
  27. Complete mandatory compliance training and participate in AML and sanctions projects.
  28. Manage information risk and adhere to related policies and trainings.
  29. Identify operational risk losses and report them promptly.
  30. Follow sanctions guidance and ensure team compliance with AML policies.
  31. Ensure branch staff complete mandatory training and adhere to AML and sanctions policies.
  32. Support AML and sanctions initiatives and uphold fair customer outcomes and market integrity.
