Position Overview:
This role requires a passionate team player and a creative thinker to work closely with the PPE
Category Manager and cross-functional teams to achieve the expected business goals.
The PPE Brand Manager supports the growth and management of the PPE product category,
reporting to the PPE Category Manager.
This role involves optimizing the product portfolio, managing inventory, ensuring product quality & customer satisfaction.
The specialist collaborates with procurement, sales, and marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle, from development to post-launch. They should maintain supplier relationships, conduct product evaluations, and contribute to category strategy execution, driving innovation and ensuring the competitiveness of the company's PPE offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Portfolio Management:
- Develop, Execute, and Assess PPE Range: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive PPE product range, identifying key lines, setting performance goals, and regularly aligning with market trends and business objectives.
- Liaison with Principals: Act as the primary contact with suppliers, setting KPIs, reporting on product performance, and conducting regular meetings to address progress and challenges.
- Introduce New Categories: Research, develop and introduce new product categories, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy and coordinating crossfunctional teams for successful market launches.
Procurement and Inventory:
- Ensure Effective Inventory Levels: Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory, aligning procurement with sales forecasts and demand to avoid stockouts and excess.
- Proactive Inventory Management: Continuously monitor and respond to inventory levels with timely procurement, marketing, and sales adjustments to address current stock status.
- Conduct Inventory Analysis: Perform detailed inventory analysis to provide insights for management, assess turnover, identify slow-moving items, and recommend optimization strategies.
Marketing:
- Coordinate with Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute product launches, clearances, and promotions, ensuring alignment with product availability and sales strategies.
- Support Marketing Material Creation: Assist in creating and updating marketing materials, ensuring they accurately reflect the product portfolio and align with the overall marketing strategy.
- Communication with the Team: Provide adequate communication to the sales teams on new product additions, stock and any relevant changes in the portfolio.
Required Experience:
- Industry Expertise: 5-8 years of experience in product management, procurement, or a related role within the PPE industry or similar fields in Industrial B2B Sales (e.g., Safety Equipment, Tools, or Industrial Products).
- PPE Knowledge: Deep understanding of PPE or Industrial products, including industry standards like EN and ANSI.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software.
- Customer Insight: Ability to understand customer needs and align product offerings accordingly.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing market conditions.
Required Skills & Education:
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Engineering is mandatory.- Technical Competence: Proficiency in technical analysis and evaluation of PPE/Industrial products, including understanding performance, materials, test requirements, product life, and application.
- Advanced Analytical Skills: Strong skills in advanced Excel and data analysis, including market analysis, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
