Job summary

RTC-1 Work Services in Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Control Room Operator (Power and Water) on a full-time basis with a focus on reliability, safety and rapid response in emergency conditions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree (Electrical/Mechanical) or an Instrumentation diploma, 3+ years of related experience in power plant operations, and hands-on skills with electrical controls, transformers and high-voltage equipment. UAE national, male, under 45 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or an Instrumentation diploma.
• At least 3 years experience in a similar position.
• Power plant operations and emergency response experience would be beneficial.
• UAE national, male, under 45 years old.

Responsibilities

• Takes required action in emergency operation circumstances such as total blackouts, black start, islanding and synchronization of the emergency diesel generator
• Demonstrates the regular use of fault/failure evaluation techniques when fixing plant irregularities and equipment failures
• Demonstrates step-by-step compliance in all plant operation activities by operating plant equipment through established valve line-ups and system/component operating procedures
• Acts as OSC (On scene leader) during emergencies
• Performs predictive maintenance during shifts (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication sampling) and component assessments
• Operates equipment and performs repairs as required to maximize availability, reliability, and efficiency
