Job summary

Care Labs in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Power Systems Engineer to lead high‑voltage power projects in utilities, industrial, and renewable sectors. The role covers studies, design reviews, grid interconnection, and DER integration.

You will coordinate with clients and local utilities (DEWA, ADWEA, TRANSCO), review vendor submittals, and support FAT/SAT and commissioning while ensuring HSE compliance and adherence to UAE standards.

Qualifications

3–7 years of experience in power systems engineering, ideally within GCC/Middle East power infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with power system planning, grid studies, load flow, short circuit, stability, and protection coordination.
Experience working with utilities (DEWA/ADWEA/TRANSCO/SEWA/FEWA) is highly preferred.
Proficiency with electrical codes and standards (IEEE/IEC).

Responsibilities

Conduct power system studies for utility, industrial, or renewable projects.
Design and review SLDs, protection schemes, and control systems.
Develop technical specifications for transformers, switchgear, relays, and cable systems.
Support grid code compliance and DER integration (solar PV, battery storage).
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and utilities for approvals and interconnections.
Review vendor submittals and drawings for conformance.
Participate in FATs, SATs, and commissioning of power systems equipment.
Prepare technical reports and project documentation for clients and authorities.
Ensure HSE standards throughout project execution.
Stay updated with UAE regulatory standards and international best practices.
