Job description

We are seeking a talented and results-driven Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team working on various big projects across globe. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data visualization best practices, dashboard performance optimization, and advanced Power BI features. This role is critical for transforming complex data into compelling, executive-ready visual insights that drive real-time decision-making.

Key Skills Required :

• Expertise in Power BI report and dashboard development
• Strong skills in DAX and Power Query
• Data modelling and relationships (star schema, snowflake, etc.)
• Visual storytelling and UI / UX best practices
• Mobile / Tablet optimization for Power BI dashboards
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting (query folding, data refresh)
• Familiarity with enterprise-level data sources and APIs
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Effective communication and collaboration in an Agile environment

Minimum Experience :

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, with a proven track record of delivering executive-level dashboards.
• Experience working on enterprise data platforms with large datasets.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Deep understanding of complex DAX queries and calculations.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Data modelling and Semantic layer.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design Power BI solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain robust ETL processes to transform and load data into Power BI for efficient reporting and analytics.
• Develop interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards tailored for executive consumption, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and storytelling.
• Translate complex data into intuitive visuals that highlight KPIs, trends, and exceptions.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineer to ingest and prepare data, ensuring optimal data models for reporting.
• Build and maintain DAX measures, calculated columns, and complex transformations to support dashboard logic.
• Optimize data models and reports for fast load times and minimal latency, ensuring dashboards perform seamlessly across devices.
• Ensure mobile-first design and test dashboards for compatibility on tablets and smartphones.
• Work with the AI / ML Specialist to incorporate AI-driven features such as smart narratives and Q&A.
• Document dashboard logic, visuals, and KPIs to ensure maintainability and reusability.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative delivery cycles.
• Provide technical expertise and creative input on data visualization best practices and new Power BI capabilities.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure dashboards meet executive needs and expectations.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Always demonstrate compliance to the organizations values and ethics to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards and productivity improvement.

Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data lakehouse platforms.
• Exposure to AI-enabled Power BI features (Copilot, Q&A, smart narratives).
• Experience with external APIs and dynamic data integrations.
