Job description

PostDoctoral Associate in Communication Theory and Technologies

The Communication Theory and Technologies (CT&T) Research Group in the Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a PostDoctoral Associate. The candidate will be supervised by CT&T Research Group Director Prof. Dr. Murat Uysal and is expected to conduct cutting-edge research on the physical layer design of wireless communication systems and explore enabling technologies for 6G and beyond wireless networks.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications, or related fields.
  • Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, and wireless communications.
  • Extensive experience in physical (PHY) layer algorithm design and performance analysis.
  • Proven publication record in IEEE journals and conferences.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity for independent research.

Additional research experience in one or more of the following topics is preferred:

  • Waveform design for emerging spectrum (FR3 MMW, subTHz/THz)
  • Extreme massive MIMO communications
  • Analog, digital, and hybrid beamforming architectures
  • Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
  • Machine learning for wireless communications
  • Hardware-constrained signal processing
  • Channel modeling and characterization
