Job description

About The Role

The Retail Omni and Store Lead will oversee the Omnichannel and store modules during a major Retail ERP transformation. This role requires a strong understanding of Xstore POS and all Omnichannel Retail touchpoints. Experience with XStore integrated with SAP S/4Hana is highly preferred. The role demands extensive knowledge of POS operations, third-party integrations, and a proactive change management approach, with a focus on Digital Transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Support the ERP transformation, collaborating with stakeholders and SI partners for successful implementation.
  • Ensure timely, within-budget delivery of modules, maintaining quality standards.
  • Focus on delivering standardized systems and processes.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, covering XStore POS, Order Management, integrations, data migration, and reporting within a SaaS environment.
  • Manage transition to Business As Usual (BAU) post-implementation.
  • Implement governance frameworks across ATG and vendors for effective decision-making and visibility.

Business Engagement & Requirements

  • Define and model business processes with SMEs.
  • Hands-on experience with Omnichannel XStore POS, store fulfillment, Last Mile, and online marketplace operations.
  • Deep understanding of the customer order lifecycle from order to delivery.
  • Experience with diverse payment methods and EFT bank integrations.
  • Knowledge of customizing and configuring XStore POS and related modules.

Solution Design & Configuration

  • Convert business requirements into detailed technical specs, aligning with industry best practices.
  • Develop solutions to bridge gaps and enhance processes.
  • Experience with POS hardware, infrastructure, and PCI compliance.

Data Integrity

  • Oversee data integration from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity for reporting.
  • Create and maintain data models for performance management.

ERP Implementation & Testing

  • Participate in full-cycle implementations and upgrades, including support projects.
  • Understand retail POS workflows and omnichannel processes.
  • Experience with E-commerce omnichannel modules and POS rollouts in GCC countries, including localization and tax rules.
  • Serve as liaison during UAT, defining test cases, validating functionality, and providing user support.

Change Management

  • Lead change management efforts in large-scale digital transformation projects.

Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct POS performance testing in cloud environments.
  • Monitor post-implementation system performance, identifying and implementing improvements.

Managing Performance

  • Lead and develop the Retail IT and Support teams.
  • Engage with stakeholders and vendors, managing project and performance issues.
  • Align team efforts with HR policies and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to leadership.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor's/Master's or Engineering degree in Computer Science or related field; retail functional certification preferred.

Experience: 12-15 years in IT, with at least 5+ years in Omnichannel Retail Store Systems and XStore implementation.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 retail ERP and XStore POS implementations, including store rollouts.
  • Experience with omnichannel retail, e-commerce, third-party integrations, and GCC localization.
  • Strong project management knowledge (Waterfall, Agile, Spiral).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
  • Technical expertise in software functionality, design, and resolution prioritization.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and facilitate discussions.
