Job summary

Abu Dhabi Terminals LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure reliable operation of container handling machinery at the port. The role covers mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and computerized systems, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and quick fault resolution.

You will follow safety policies, read electrical drawings, handle PLC drives, perform repairs, and keep detailed work orders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification Diploma in mechanical / electrical / electronics engineering
Hands-on maintenance experience with container handling equipment and cranes is required.
Ability to read engineering drawings and work with PLC, drives, HV & MV circuits is essential.

Responsibilities

Actively follow and promote safety policies (LOTO) and ensure a safe workplace.
Maintain machinery and equipment; perform cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot faults on automated and manual equipment and recalibrate instruments.
Respond to machinery breakdowns per supervisor instructions and report issues promptly.
Coordinate handovers between shifts with summaries of events and pending tasks.
Attend training and share knowledge with others as required.
Keep work orders updated, fetch spare parts as needed, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Propose improvements to maintenance quality, cost, and equipment reliability.
Ensure proper communication with other shifts and supervisors during breakdowns or errors.
Provide suggestions for process improvements and safety enhancements.
