Job summary

Fairmont Ajman is seeking a Pool & Beach Server to deliver warm, attentive service at our pool and beach areas, sharing knowledge of food and beverage offerings and ensuring memorable guest experiences.

You will greet guests, take and serve orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards while upholding the Fairmont Heartist culture. Experience in outdoor hospitality is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good command of spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and basic POS operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A guest-focused attitude with a friendly, professional approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and remain composed.
• Physically fit to stand and walk for extended periods outdoors.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, present menus, and provide accurate information about food and beverage offerings.
• Take orders and serve promptly in accordance with hotel service standards.
• Provide poolside and beachside service with attentive and efficient guest care.
• Recommend menu items, beverages, and promotions to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Prepare and set up service stations, tables, and equipment before service.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, sun loungers, and service areas.
• Process orders and payments using the hotel POS system and billing procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for timely delivery of orders.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients, allergens, promotions, and responsible service of alcohol.
• Assist with stock replenishment, equipment handling, and end-of-shift duties.
• Adhere to hotel policies and Fairmont Heartist values; perform other duties as assigned.
