Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival at the pool or beach area and assist with seating arrangements and towel distribution.
  • Provide towels, umbrellas, chairs, and other amenities as needed; offer water or refreshments in line with hotel standards.
  • Assist guests with special requests, including arranging food and beverage orders, pool toys, or helping with personal belongings.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and attentive attitude; ensure guest safety and a welcoming experience.
  • Set up and organize poolside furniture and ensure the area is inviting and tidy.
  • Keep the beach area clean and free from debris; monitor and tidy the poolside area during the shift.
  • Ensure safety equipment is available and in good condition; monitor guest safety around water.
  • Be vigilant for safety hazards and follow emergency procedures as needed.
  • Enforce pool and beach rules and assist guests with needs such as extra towels or seating adjustments.
  • Help guests locate amenities and assist with the rental of beach gear or cabanas where applicable.
  • Take and communicate food and beverage orders to the appropriate restaurant team; deliver orders to pool and beach areas with care.
  • Coordinate with other pool and beach associates and management to maintain smooth operations.
  • Work with lifeguards and other associates to uphold safety standards.
  • Keep supplies stocked (towels, sunscreen, amenities) and track inventory for shortages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation and property goals.
Qualifications

Experience/Certificates/Education

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, pool, or beach-related role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, sun).
  • Knowledge of pool safety rules and beach etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong physical stamina; ability to lift and carry items such as lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas.
  • Basic first-aid knowledge or certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as lounge chairs, umbrellas, and supplies.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach while maintaining the pool and beach area.

This role may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the establishment’s hours of operation.
