Job summary

AccorHotel in Dubai is seeking a Pool and Beach Attendant to maintain cleanliness, safety and high service levels in guest areas. You will prepare and maintain pool and beach spaces and assist guests to enhance their stay.

The role requires good customer service, ability to work outdoors in heat and sun, and knowledge of pool safety. Physical stamina is essential, with duties including moving lounge chairs and equipment, and adhering to SOPs and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality pool or beach role preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle guest requests.
• Able to work outdoors in heat, humidity and sun.
• Knowledge of pool safety rules and beach etiquette.
• Strong physical stamina; able to lift and carry lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork between the Pool and Beach F&B team and the Recreation team to deliver seamless luxurious service to guests, residents and members.
• Adhere to grooming standards to ensure a professional appearance.
• Ensure smooth daily operations of the Recreation sub-departments focusing on service, maintenance, safety and hygiene.
• Regularly check pool and beach areas to ensure they are clean, safe and ready for guest use.
• Attend daily Pool & Beach briefings to maintain clear communication within the team.
• Ensure access is allowed only to members, hotel guests, or legitimate entrants.
• Assist guests and members with towels, umbrellas, sun loungers, and other requests to ensure a comfortable stay.
• Follow SOPs and the Emergency Action Plan.

Summary

As a Pool and Beach Attendant you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness safety and a high level of service in all guest areas. Your focus will be on preparing and maintaining these spaces ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests and assisting with their requests to enhance their experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork between the Pool and Beach F&B team and the Recreation team to deliver seamless luxurious service to guests residents and members.
• Adhere to the hotels grooming standards to ensure a professional and polished appearance.
• Ensure smooth daily operations of the Recreation sub-departments focusing on service maintenance safety and hygiene.
• Regularly check the pool and beach areas to ensure they are clean safe and ready for guest use.
• Attend daily Pool & Beach briefings to maintain clear and effective communication within the team.
• Ensure that only members hotel guests or legitimate entries are allowed access to the pool and beach areas.
• Assist guests and members with towels umbrellas sun loungers and any other requests to ensure a comfortable stay.
• Follow and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Emergency Action Plan.
• Immediately report any accidents incidents or hazards to management.
• Ensure all equipment and furniture are clean well-maintained and free of hazards. Address any maintenance needs as required.
• Adhere to all legal and statutory requirements including fire safety health regulations and licensing.
• Be fully familiar with emergency procedures and your responsibilities in the event of an emergency.
• Comply with all hotel policies including those outlined in the employee handbook and adhere to company disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management to support the effective operation of the department and the broader goals of the property.

Qualifications :

Experience

• Previous experience in a hospitality pool or beach-related role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest requests and complaints in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat humidity and sun exposure.
• Knowledge of pool safety rules and beach etiquette.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items such as lounge chairs towels and umbrellas.
• Basic first-aid knowledge or certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as lounge chairs umbrellas and supplies.
• Ability to bend stoop and reach while setting up and maintaining the pool and beach area.
