Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to establish and implement structured project management processes and reporting. The role requires a strong, hands-on leader who can design, introduce and enforce project controls, governance and accountability. The role will work closely with the cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Commercial, Operations and Finance and be jointly responsible for ensuring projects delivery on time, within scope and within budget while improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a Project Management Structure.
- Support the design and implementation of a comprehensive project management framework aligned with company objectives.
- Establish project tracking tools, reporting structures and governance processes.
- Define clear project workflows, including budgeting, risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Project Planning and Scope Management
- Collaborate with commercial and engineering teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Prepare comprehensive BoM/Project Budgets aligned with project requirements.
- Develop structured project plans with defined timelines, deliverables and responsibilities.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Project Execution and Monitoring
- Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring alignment with predefined scope, budget, and timelines.
- Monitor project milestones, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain momentum toward completion.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Conduct regular project review meetings to track progress and hold teams accountable.
- Implement KPI tracking dashboards for real-time project performance monitoring.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including records of decisions, changes, and lessons learned.
- KPI Management
- Define, monitor, and analyse team and project KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively address performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the central point of contact between Engineering, Commercial and Finance, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and managed.
- Ensure adherence to Project Management requirements.
- Engage with external vendors and partners to align deliverables with project goals.
- Risk and Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve project-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and implementing best practices.
- Provide feedback to teams to refine workflows and increase efficiency.
- Support the leadership team in driving cultural change towards structured project execution.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a logistics and supply chain field is a MUST.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts and BoM/Budget preparation.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Trello).
- Familiarity with KPIs and performance management metrics.
- Well-spoken, with fluency in both English; Arabic is also preferred.
