Job summary

AirQ in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Technical PMO to support planning and delivery of advanced UAV/UAS production projects, bringing structure, governance, and coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and business teams.

You will drive PMO frameworks, monitor timelines and budgets, and develop dashboards for senior management. Ideal candidate has 3+ years in PMO or engineering roles in UAV/aerospace, with experience in JIRA, MS Project, or Smartsheet.

AirQ is looking for a Technical PMO to support the planning and delivery of advanced UAV/UAS production projects. This role is ideal for someone who can bring structure, governance, and strong coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and business teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive PMO governance, standards, and project frameworks across UAV programs
• Monitor timelines, budgets, risks, and ensure effective project execution
• Coordinate with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams
• Act as a key link between R&D and manufacturing to support smooth production transitions
• Review engineering change requests (ECRs) and assess project impact
• Support integration of new UAV technologies (propulsion, avionics, autonomy) into workflows
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for senior management
• Track resource utilization and support project capacity planning
• Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements using lean/agile principles
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (FAA, EASA, ISO, AS9100)
• Maintain technical documentation and project records

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in PMO, technical project management, or engineering roles
• Background in UAV/UAS, aerospace, or defense manufacturing
• Strong experience with project tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or Smartsheet
• Knowledge of production lifecycle, supply chain, and quality processes
• Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Have

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification
• Experience with agile/scrum in hardware production environments
• Understanding of UAV systems, avionics, or composite manufacturing
• Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
• Experience with Power BI or advanced Excel reporting
