Job Description:
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and organized PMO / Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of a high-tech autonomous robotics design project based in Abu Dhabi. This role will be embedded within the project management team, ensuring efficient execution through structured planning, risk management, and administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations.
Drive risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning across all phases of the project.
Support project governance by preparing project documentation, progress reports, and stakeholder updates.
Coordinate cross-functional meetings, maintain action item trackers, and follow up on deliverables.
Assist with budget tracking, procurement planning, and contract documentation as required.
Ensure alignment of project activities with internal processes, regulatory guidelines, and client expectations.
Interface with engineering, R&D, quality, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
Participate in internal reviews and support preparation for external audits or client reviews.
Profile / Requirements:
Main Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in project coordination, PMO, or engineering support roles.
Strong knowledge of project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
Proven ability to manage project risks, timelines, and documentation in a structured environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Previous experience working on defense or government-related projects is a strong plus, but not mandatory.
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with robotics, embedded systems, or autonomous systems design processes.
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
Candidates with an industrial engineering background and prior exposure to defense-related projects are highly encouraged to apply.
