Qualifications

  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.

Overview

Job Purpose: As a PMO Planning & Control Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of program schedules, scope control, risk management, and overall program execution. You will collaborate closely with Program Managers and Functional Areas to ensure that all activities are aligned with strategic goals, financial performance is optimized, and deliverables are met within agreed milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create the Baseline and update as required the Program Schedule & Milestones, as per the Contract Annexes (Specification, SOW, ILS)
  • Control the Schedule and the proposed Changes, identify Schedule Risks and Issues, and propose Mitigation / Corrective actions
  • Define the WBS together with the Program Managers and Functional Areas, as per the Contract Annexes (Specification, SOW, ILS)
  • Control the Scope and the proposed Changes, identify Scope Risks and Issues, and propose the Mitigation / Corrective actions
  • Collaborate with the Program Managers and Functional Areas to set suitable operational and tactical planning for all Program Activities, Events and Milestones
  • Check and monitor the Program(s) Master Plan and deliverables within the agreed milestones, and keep up to date accordingly
  • Monitor and control Program deliverables deadlines as per the Program Master Plan and inform the Program Managers and the Director of PMO (Aerospace) about potential impacts and suggest corrective actions
  • Coordinate and lead the Configuration Control Board (CCB) (change management) with the Program Managers and Functional Areas, and define the aircraft effectivity to be implemented within the Production Phases
  • Participate on the Program risk register and mitigation actions
  • Promote the Continuous Improvement culture within the Functional Areas
  • Participate in preparation of Program Management Reviews (PMR's) topics and actions with the End-User(s) and Suppliers
Duties
  • Strategic: Set the Program(s) Master Phase Plan as per the company’s strategy.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize Functional Areas plans through Critical Path unblocking.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor and control the Program(s) Critical Path(s) to minimize the Program(s) total Cost and provide early warning to the PMO Managers and to the Director of PMO (Aerospace).
  • Team Development and Leadership: Develop Functional Areas members.
  • Risk Management: Track the Program(s) risk register, plan and act as per the Director of PMO (Aerospace) approvals for risk mitigations.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Participate, as demanded, on behalf of PMO in all Program Management Reviews (PMR’s) with End-Users and Suppliers, as directed by the Director of PMO (Aerospace).
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Contribute and suggest Continuous Improvement actions within the FUNCTIONAL AREAS.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in Aviation Program Planning.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certifications: Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
