Job description

The PMO will be responsible for coordinating PMO operations, identifying opportunities for streamlining and improving internal processes. The PMO will support Project Managers during the implementation phases by sharing best practices and lessons learned. Occasionally, during peak times, the PMO Analyst may be required to manage small to medium projects.

Direct Responsibilities of the Role
  1. Direct and lead the activities of the PMO in the region.
  2. Provide guidance on processes and procedures to the Project Management team.
  3. Track project schedules and budgets, highlighting risks and issues for management.
  4. Provide reports and information to the regional senior management team.
  5. Carry out project reporting and administration under the guidance of the regional Program Director.
  6. Design and implement new PMO processes and procedures.
  7. Improve and streamline project management tools (e.g., project status, scope changes, project overview, resource allocation and availability, milestones, projections, Gantt charts, earned value, budget vs. expenditure).
  8. Maintain documentation library or database to define standards, examples, project documents, and electronic project files.
  9. Oversee resource availability and allocation, including resource management and project organizational structure.
  10. Manage projects as required by regional management.
  11. Liaise and cooperate with other regional PMOs.
Skills and Qualifications for Success
  1. Over 3 years of experience within a PMO, including business analysis, process mapping, and optimization.
  2. Proven ability to quickly learn the specific requirements of complex operations.
  3. Persistent with high attention to detail.
  4. Good understanding of project/program management methodologies.
  5. Extensive experience with project office support tools.
  6. Effective communication skills; fluency in English is required, with proficient reading and writing abilities.
