Job summary
Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Specialist HVAC Engineer to lead design, engineering, and execution of HVAC systems for oil and gas facilities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes. You will lead and mentor engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review vendor submittals, and deliver pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities across projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 15 years HVAC engineering experience with at least 5 years in lead roles.
- Experience on mega ADNOC oil processing EPC/EPCm projects.
- Proficient with HAP/Carrier, AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Familiar with ADNOC specs and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, DW144).
- Exposure to explosion‑proof HVAC systems and redundancy design.
- Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and review vendor submittals.
Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC design for control rooms, substations, telecom shelters and buildings.
- Design hazardous area ventilation, pressurization and smoke management systems.
- Perform heat load calculations and equipment sizing (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust).
- Develop and review layouts, ducting drawings, and schematics.
- Prepare MR and conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE).
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Civil teams.
- Review vendor documents and approve HVAC equipment submittals.
- Support procurement and ensure timely material delivery.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.

Lead the design, engineering, and execution of HVAC systems for oil & gas facilities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and project specifications. The role is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and energy‑efficient HVAC solutions across all project phases.
Lead HVAC system design for:
- Control rooms, substations, telecom shelters, and buildings
- Hazardous area ventilation systems
- Pressurization and smoke management systems
- Heat load calculations (HAP/Carrier software or equivalent)
- Equipment sizing and selection (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems)
- HVAC layouts, ducting drawings, and schematics
- Material requisitions (MR), technical bid evaluations (TBE)
- ADNOC engineering standards
- International codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO)
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil)
- Review vendor documents and approve HVAC equipment submittals
- Support procurement and ensure timely material delivery
- Installation
- Testing & commissioning
- Resolve site technical issues and ensure design integrity
- Hazardous area classification requirements
- Fire & gas system integration
- Promote HSE policies aligned with ADNOC guidelines
- HAZOP / HAZID studies
- Design reviews and safety audits
- Lead and mentor HVAC engineers and designers
- Interface with client representatives (ADNOC PMC team)
- Manage engineering deliverables, schedules, and manpower
- Ensure quality assurance and control of HVAC deliverables
- Oversee HVAC system pre‑commissioning and commissioning
- Validate performance testing (TAB – Testing, Adjusting & Balancing)
- As‑built drawings
- O&M manuals
- Commissioning reports
