Job Description

Expected:

• MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience
• Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in IT / Telecom field including Security & Safety, wired & wireless communication in Oil & Gas Projects, with extensive knowledge in LAN & WAN, ACS, CCTV, FOC, IDS, PAGA, Hotline systems, F&G, and IP telephony
• Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
• Experience in engineering Design, FEED, detailed Engineering, and Costing estimation for Telecom system proposals
• Responsible for engineering documentation activities such as block diagrams, functional design specifications, datasheets, MR, equipment layouts, interconnection and termination drawings, cabinet drawings
• Participation in technical bid evaluations, vendor document review, and approvals
• Technical competence in own discipline with ongoing professional development
• Provide discipline support to the business
• Awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks, legislation, industry initiatives, and technology developments; promote this knowledge to team members
• Contribute to scope definition and project execution
• Deputize for the principal as required
• Support and supervise delegated tasks
• Achieve personal objectives
• Manage third-party suppliers during engineering delivery
• Follow discipline-specific procedures and suggest improvements
• Participate in audits and incident investigations
• Coach and mentor team members as delegated
• Contribute to performance management of direct reports
