JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Lead Package Equipment Engineer for one of our key clients in Abu Dhabi for ADNOC Offshore project as part of our mechanical package team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectations, the position will be based full-time at our client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities
- Participate as a team member in specific phases of engineering assignments.
- Prepare documentation for assigned projects.
- Ensure project completion within budget, time, and cost constraints.
- Define engineering approaches, plan, and schedule work.
- Evaluate problems, organize investigations, and establish performance specifications.
- Check engineering calculations and drawings per industry codes and standards; mentor less experienced professionals.
- Adhere to discipline-specific procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Participate in audits and incident investigations.
- Perform complex engineering tasks related to major project units.
- Engage in site visits, project reviews, design reviews, and workshops.
Providing discipline expertise:
- Develop new approaches or adapt existing ones, exercising professional judgment.
- Modify guidelines, devise new solutions, and evaluate technical options.
- Function as a technical leader or significant contributor to complex problems or projects.
- Generate innovative ideas and solve complex technical problems.
- Anticipate issues and proactively resolve problems through creative thinking.
- Understand customer needs and apply technical solutions accordingly.
- Support proposals with technical input.
Supporting and supervising task delegation:
- Supervise small teams or provide guidance to others.
- Assist in managerial tasks such as task assignment, planning, and scheduling.
- Discuss priorities with senior engineers.
- Approve work schedules and recommend resource adjustments.
- Manage small projects, overseeing cost, schedule, and resources.
- Ensure HSSE compliance and safety standards.
Qualifications

Expected:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in oil and gas, mainly in onshore downstream projects.
- Preferably with ADNOC Offshore PMC project experience.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines to meet delivery and design targets.
