Position - Plumber

Job Summary:


The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures across the facility. This includes water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary systems, and associated equipment. The role ensures all plumbing systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with health and building regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems including water lines, drainage systems, pumps, valves, faucets, toilets, and sanitary fixtures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair requests across the facility.
  • Detect leaks, blockages, and other faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace damaged pipes, fittings, or fixtures as needed.
  • Maintain hot and cold water systems, water heaters, and associated controls.
  • Coordinate with other technicians and contractors for integrated MEP tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed using CMMS or job sheets.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing issues such as burst pipes or major leaks.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • ITI or Diploma in Plumbing or relevant trade.
  • 2-5 years of experience in plumbing work, preferably in facility management.
  • Good knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and piping schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing tools and leak detection equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in plumbing or water systems maintenance.
  • Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or hospitals.
  • Basic knowledge of other trades (e.g., electrical, HVAC) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and reporting systems.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
