Job description

The Plumber at Emirates Park Zoo &Resort is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all plumbingsystems within the zoo and resort premises. This includes ensuring that watersupply, drainage, and sanitation systems are functioning properly, whileadhering to safety standards and regulations. The plumber will work to preventplumbing issues, carry out repairs promptly, and ensure a smooth operation ofdaily activities within the zoo and resort facilities.

Requirements

Responsibilities: Install,repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, water supply systems, drainagesystems, and fixtures within the zoo and resort facilities(Staff accommodations, hotel, chalet, green area irrigation, ZOObathrooms, swimming pools, animal pools and aquarium). Inspectplumbing systems for leaks, clogs, or faulty components and carry outrepairs in a timely manner. Maintainthe overall cleanliness and functionality of plumbing infrastructureacross the park, guest accommodations, restaurants, and other resortamenities. Diagnoseplumbing issues and determine the cause of problems to ensure efficientand cost-effective repairs. Respondto urgent plumbing issues, such as blocked drains, leaking pipes, or waterpressure issues, ensuring minimal disruption to guest services. Repairor replace plumbing fixtures and fittings, such as taps, showers, toilets,water heaters, and pumps. Installnew plumbing systems, such as piping, valves, and drainage systems, fornew developments or upgrades to existing facilities. Workwith the project team to install plumbing systems during new construction,renovations, or system expansions. Conductregular inspections and preventive maintenance checks on plumbing systemsto avoid unexpected failures and maintain optimal operation. Ensurethat all plumbing systems comply with local building codes and health andsafety regulations. Provideplumbing support for the operational needs of the zoo and resort,including animal enclosures, public restrooms, restaurants, hotels, andother guest facilities. Workclosely with the maintenance team to ensure all plumbing-related concernsare addressed quickly and professionally. Assistwith emergency plumbing issues that may arise during daily operations,ensuring minimal disruption to guest activities. Maintainan inventory of plumbing materials, tools, and parts required for repairsand installations. Monitorstock levels and report any shortages or the need for new tools andsupplies to the Maintenance Supervisor. Adhereto all safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and health standardswhile performing plumbing tasks. Useappropriate safety gear and ensure plumbing tasks are conducted in a safemanner to prevent accidents or damage. Maintainaccurate records of plumbing tasks, including inspections, repairs, andmaintenance work carried out. Reportmajor plumbing issues and completed works to the Maintenance Supervisor,including updates on ongoing projects and repairs.
