Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking a Plating and Coating Production Supervisor to oversee daily coating and plating operations, ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery while leading the production team.

You will manage processes like mechanical galvanizing, dip-spin zinc flake coating, PTFE coating, and centrifugal spin systems, implement Lean improvements, and coordinate with QA/QC and maintenance to sustain efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience supervising industrial coating or plating operations.
Extensive experience in Mechanical Galvanizing, Dip & Spin Coating, Zinc Flake Coating, PTFE Topcoat.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and QA/QC procedures.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily production of coating and plating operations.
Plan and schedule production to meet customer delivery requirements.
Operate and oversee Mechanical Galvanizing Plant, Dip Spin Coating Line, Centrifugal Spin Coating Equipment, Zinc Flake Coating Systems, and PTFE (Teflon) Coating Process.
Ensure coating thickness, adhesion, curing, and finish meet customer specifications.
Monitor curing oven temperatures, coating viscosity, process parameters, and quality records.
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and testing.
Maintain production reports, batch records, and traceability documentation.
Minimize rejects, rework, and production downtime.
Train employees on coating procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
Ensure preventive maintenance of all coating equipment.
Monitor chemical consumption and maintain inventory of coating materials.
Coordinate with purchasing for raw materials and consumables.
Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment following HSE regulations.

Position Summary

The Plating and Coating Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising all daily production activities related to mechanical galvanizing, dip-spin zinc flake coating, centrifugal spin coating, and PTFE (Teflon) coating. The successful candidate will ensure production efficiency, coating quality, safety compliance, equipment maintenance, and timely delivery while leading the production team.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum 5-8 years of experience supervising industrial coating or plating operations.
Strong experience in:
- Mechanical Galvanizing
- Dip & Spin Coating
- Zinc Flake Coating
- PTFE (Teflon) Coating
- Centrifugal Spin Systems
- Experience coating industrial fasteners, anchor bolts, screws, nuts, washers, and fabricated steel components.
- Good understanding of coating specifications, curing cycles, coating thickness measurement, and corrosion protection.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection methods.
- Experience with production planning and manpower management.
- Ability to troubleshoot coating defects and optimize production processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is preferred.
