Job summary

Mirai Cyber in Dubai seeks a Head of Platform to own the strategy, design, and operational excellence of the core platform layer, enabling product innovation, enterprise scalability, secure integrations, and dependable platform performance.

The Head of Platform will collaborate with engineering, product, and security to ensure resilience, extensibility, and faster delivery through well-designed platform primitives, while mentoring teams and shaping architectural standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in platform engineering, backend systems, infrastructure, or technical operations
• 3-5 years in a senior platform, infrastructure, or engineering leadership role
• Experience in SaaS, cloud, enterprise software, or cybersecurity environments
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, reliability, APIs, cloud services, and operational excellence
• Proven ability to work across engineering, product, and security teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Define and own the platform roadmap, architecture, and foundational service strategy
• Build reusable services, APIs, and integration patterns
• Ensure high availability, observability, resilience, and performance
• Improve operational maturity through automation, monitoring, and incident management
• Establish and maintain platform standards for APIs, service ownership, and release readiness
• Partner with product teams to enable faster delivery through platform primitives
• Work with security and engineering teams to ensure secure-by-design implementation
• Support enterprise onboarding and customer-specific integrations
• Track platform health, technical debt, dependency risk, and execution progress
• Contribute to hiring, mentoring, and capability building within platform engineering
