Qualifications

• Eight+ years in software development.
• Three+ years leading a team or equivalent tech leadership.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience designing reactive and message-based architectures.
• Knowledge of data modelling and CQRS.
• Proficient with relational and time-series databases.
• Experience with Ubuntu Linux and containerisation.
• CI/CD tools like GitLab CI and TeamCity.
• Knowledge of Akka.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Flexible, practical, high-pressure environment adaptability.
• Excellent English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Research, design and lead development of a shared software platform adaptable across products.
• Promote decoupled, modular architectures enabling independent development.
• Champion DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerisation and IaC.
• Apply modern architectural approaches and cloud-native tech for air-gapped, low-latency systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical delivery with strategy and product roadmap.
• Contribute to architectural decisions through consensus and knowledge sharing.
• Work in multidisciplinary Agile teams applying Agile methodologies.
• Stay hands-on with product teams to understand practical constraints.
• Help translate architectural direction into robust software.
