Job summary
EDGE Group seeks a Platform Reliability Engineer to design and automate resilient, scalable platforms. You will drive recovery readiness, ensure backup integrity, and support VMware-to-cloud migrations. Qualifications
- 8 to 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
- Experience with Nutanix, VMware, public cloud platforms, and backup/recovery technologies.
- Strong PowerShell or Python scripting and automation skills.
- Proven ability to improve platform resilience, recoverability, and operational efficiency through automation.
- Ability to reduce operational toil and improve reliability at scale.
Responsibilities
- Ensure reliability, performance, and recoverability of core platform services.
- Manage and validate backup/recovery capabilities using Rubrik and related tools.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery testing and recovery assurance activities.
- Support migrations from VMware to modern cloud platforms.
- Develop automation to reduce manual effort and improve service reliability.
- Improve observability, monitoring, alerting and operational readiness across the platform.
