Job summary

Contango is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering & Data Technical Lead to act as the onshore technical authority for an enterprise transformation program. You will own end-to-end technical solutions, set target architecture, and provide oversight of data foundations and AI-enabled capabilities across orchestration and data streams.

You will direct offshore teams, define key data models and source-to-target mappings, and ensure go-live readiness through governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-workstream enterprise programs spanning app and data domains.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms (Databricks preferred).
• Experience with structured and unstructured data onboarding and data governance.
• Practical AI/LLM-enabled capabilities delivery in enterprise workflows.
• Cloud design with IaC, RBAC, CI/CD and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical interface to stakeholders and vendors across orchestration and data workstreams.
• Define target architecture and oversee end-to-end technical solution quality and delivery.
• Lead offshore teams and ensure go-live readiness, risk management, and production stabilization.
• Develop data models, source-to-target mappings, ingestion pipelines and data quality controls.
• Define and govern engineering standards, governance, and technical decision processes.
