Job summary

Contango is seeking an experienced Platform, Engineering & Data Technical Lead to be the onshore technical authority for an enterprise transformation program in Abu Dhabi. You will own end-to-end technical solutions across orchestration, data, and AI capabilities, while guiding offshore teams and ensuring go-live readiness.

The role requires deep architectural understanding, hands-on depth, and strong leadership to drive standards, risk management, and delivery across multi-stream programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years across enterprise technology delivery.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms (Databricks) and Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience delivering AI/LLM-enabled capabilities within enterprise applications/workflows.
• Strong cloud platform experience (Azure) - IaC, environment design, RBAC, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Ability to translate technical decisions into business outcomes for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical interface to client stakeholders and vendors.
• Own end-to-end technical solution across orchestration and data workstreams.
• Define architecture components across infrastructure, security, and data.
• Establish engineering standards - CI/CD pipelines, code review gates, quality controls.
• Oversee sprint planning, testing cycles, defect triage, and release readiness.
• Lead offshore engineering, platform, data, and QA teams and mentor them.
