Job summary

SEHA seeks a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with burn unit specialization to lead clinical care, oversee junior staff, and ensure adherence to hospital policies in Abu Dhabi. The role involves multidisciplinary collaboration, patient-centered treatment, and active participation in care planning.

Candidates should have MBBS with Plastic Surgery specialization, relevant boards/certifications, and 5+ years of post-specialization burn experience with DOH license or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Plastic Surgery.
• American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board, Western Board fellowship or equivalent.
• DOH License or eligibility for Abu Dhabi.
• Minimum 5 years post-specialization experience in Burn unit.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats patients per best practice in Plastic Surgery.
• Oversees junior medical staff and their care.
• Participates in hospital policies, admissions, procedures and discharge protocols.
• Leads ward rounds and reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly.
• Documents clinical information clearly and timely per procedures.
• Regularly reviews investigations and updates treatment as needed.
• Liaises with other specialties and services for input.
• Participates in multidisciplinary care planning for patients.
• Obtains informed consent for procedures.
• Accepts referrals from various departments and emergency.
