A leading organization in Dubai is seeking a Plant Operator to manage the safe operation of overhead cranes for waste handling. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, and promoting safety initiatives. Candidates should have a high school diploma, relevant crane operation experience, and HSE training qualifications.
Under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor and general supervision of the Plant Operations Manager, the Plant Operator is responsible for activities in the safe and environmentally sound operation of overhead cranes on the tipping floor / pit. This includes lifting, moving, and mixing municipal solid waste (MSW) and construction and demolition waste using hoisting attachments such as a grapple or auxiliary hoist mechanisms like hooks or slings. The goal is to feed fuel and MSW to boilers, mix the fuel in the refuse pit for homogeneous fuel, and move loads to and from the charging deck. The operator also assists Control Room Operators in daily plant operations and conducts regular plant inspections.
Manage plant operation and emission data, maintain safety and efficiency, and provide training to subordinates.

Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience or equivalent, with successful completion of crane operation demonstrations, familiarity with HSE standards, and passing oral and written exams. Previous overhead crane operation and maintenance experience may allow a one-month completion period for demonstrations.
