Supervise and manage the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all plant vehicles, including heavy equipment, trailers, buses, and pickups.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for vehicle operations and maintenance.
Coordinate with mechanics, technicians, and external service providers for repairs and spare parts procurement.
Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and inventory of spare parts.
Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify issues and ensure timely repairs.
Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
Train and oversee a team of mechanics and maintenance staff to ensure high-quality work standards.
Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and industry best practices.
Report breakdowns, maintenance progress, and cost analysis to senior management.
Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and fleet management, preferably in construction, facilities management, or industrial plants.
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, and plant vehicle maintenance.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and fleet management systems.
Ability to manage and lead a team of mechanics and technicians.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking software.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
