PlanningCost Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning/Cost Engineer to join our team in Al Ain. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, cost estimation, and control for large-scale construction and engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced project management software.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects at various stages of development.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance.
• Analyze project costs and variances, providing regular reports to management.
• Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency.
• Perform earned value analysis and forecast project performance.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure alignment between plans and actual progress.
• Develop and maintain cost databases and historical records for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and cost engineering, preferably in construction engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with cost estimation software.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Experience with risk analysis tools and techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or CCP are preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project lifecycle management.
• Expertise in cost control, budgeting, schedule development, and risk assessment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE is a plus.
