Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Planning Engineer to manage scheduling, progress tracking, and project controls for utility-scale solar PV projects in Abu Dhabi. You will develop master schedules, monitor milestones, analyze critical paths, and forecast bottlenecks while coordinating between site teams, procurement, and project leadership to deliver on time and within budget.

• 6+ years of planning and scheduling experience, with at least 2 years on utility-scale Solar PV projects.
• PM certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed Project Baseline Schedules (Level 3/4).
• Analyze S-Curves, EVM metrics, and schedule variance reports.
• Perform regular CPM analysis to identify bottlenecks and propose mitigations.
• Prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly progress dashboards for leadership and clients.

Job description

We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to manage the scheduling, progress tracking, and project controls for our Utility-Scale Solar PV projects. In this role, you will develop comprehensive master schedules, monitor daily/weekly construction milestones, analyze critical paths, and forecast potential bottlenecks. You will act as the key coordinator between site execution teams, procurement, and project leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Master Schedule Creation: Develop, update, and maintain detailed Project Baseline Schedules (Level 3/Level 4) using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• S-Curve & KPI Tracking: Generate and analyze physical progress S-Curves, Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, and schedule variance (SV) reports.
• Critical Path Method (CPM): Perform regular CPM analysis to identify bottleneck sequences (e.g., long-lead inverter delays or grid connection approvals) and propose mitigation plans.
• Executive Dashboards: Prepare clear Daily, Weekly, and Monthly progress reports for internal leadership and external clients.

Required Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. A certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is a major asset.
• Experience: 6+ years of planning and scheduling experience, with at least 2 years explicitly dedicated to utility-scale Solar PV projects.
